Do you require a deposit?


We do not require a damage deposit on your rental.


How much notice must I provide to move out?


We require 2 weeks’ notice of termination. Termination dates are on the 15th and the last day of any month.


What methods of payment do you accept?


We offer a variety of choices for payment. Feel free to settle your account with Interac, MasterCard, Visa, cheque, or cash.


Can I reserve a storage unit?


Unfortunately at this time we are unable to hold units for longer than 24 hours. However, you can request to join our waiting list for a specific size!


Are my valuables safe on your property?


We do everything in our power to keep our property safe so that you can confidently leave your belongings at our facility. Both of our properties feature perimeter security, photoelectric detector beams, an onsite resident caretaker, and an 8’-tall fence with razor wire. Our security systems are monitored by Price’s Security and Price’s Alarms. Plus, we don’t keep a copy of your lock key in our office; you’re the only with access to your lock!


Where are you located?


We have two facilities in BC: one at 1185 Shawnigan Mill Bay Rd in Mill Bay and the other at 6822 Veyaness Road in Saanichton. Our Mill Bay facility is just minutes off the Trans Canada Highway between Shawnigan Lake and Cobble Hill and our Saanichton facility has an excellent central location, making us a great solution for students at the University of Victoria.


How do I access my unit? Are there stairs?


To make your moving day (and every day after that) a whole lot simpler, there aren’t any stairs at our facilities. Instead, our units are on the ground floor and are drive-up accessible and our driveways are wide and easy to navigate.  We can accommodate vehicles up to 14 feet in length.


Do you know where I can park my car, boat, or RV?


Yep, right here at Rite Self Storage! We provide a variety of parking spaces at our facilities that are perfect for vehicles taking up space at your home.


What is climate control and do I need it?


Climate control is the feature that provides a stable temperature and humidity level for your belongings. Some items are more likely to be damaged during the cold winter months, which is why our heated units may be ideal if you plan to store photographs, documents, furniture, or antiques.


When can I access my storage unit?



Rather than rush over during your lunch hour, you can come by before or after work and even on the weekends.
